Steve Miller Band with Joe Cocker to Play Summerfest Main Stage

No, this headline isn't from 1976. It was a rumor swirling for a bit around town. It is now fact that the Steve Miller Band with very special guest Joe Cocker will perform at the Marcus Amphitheater on Sunday, June 29th. Steve Miller tickets go on sale Saturday, April 5th through Ticketmaster.

Snow for Summerfest

As I write this entry, the snow is falling and falling in good ol' Mil-town. On March 21. Granted snow in March is not such a crazy notion, but seriously this town cannot take anymore! The question is, at this rate, will there be snow for Summerfest? Think of it. The beer consumption would lesson, the Jack Daniels tent would be rockin'. All the trashy girls wearing close to nothing would be forced to get the fleece and North Face jackets out. Sure would change the dynamics of the single crowd.

If there is snow during Summerfest 2008, it will likely be the last Summerfest in Milwaukee as all of it's residents will have jumped off a cliff.

Ask and You Shall Receive. Stevie Wonder coming to Summerfest!

Stevie Wonder will play the Marcus Amphitheater during Summerfest. Stevie Wonder tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster the 29th of March. There are four different price points to choose from. This is the second leg of Stevie's tour. He has been on and off the road for a while now. I have read nothing but incredible reviews of his show. Looks like a must-see for the Summerfest crowd.

Recent Stevie Wonder set lists have included the following tunes:

Where are the Summerfest Announcements?

Dear Summerfest peeps,

I am trying to plan my summer and would like to know what other bands you have thoughtfully lined up for the remaining dates of Summerfest 2008. We have Rush, Rascal Flatts, Tom Petty, The Jonas Brothers and Tim McGraw thus far. There are only so many concerts one can go to and with The Police playing the Marcus Amphitheater later in the summer and Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson both playing, albeit separately, at Alpine Valley, I have to say, you need to come up with some good names.

Not that you care, but the rumors of The Eagles or The Steve Miller Band playing Summerfest do absolutely nothing for me.

I know it is difficult to make everyone happy, just give me hope that you will try!

Thanks gang! Looking forward to a great summer!

Peace out.
