Kendrick Lamar Headlines Summerfest 2015 on July 1

Kendrick Lamar Summerfest 2015
Kendrick Lamar will play Summerfest 2015 on July 1. Opening for Lamar will be SchoolboyQ.  Tickets for the show are available in early April. Prices include admission to the entire Summerfest grounds.

Kendrick Lamar is one of the hottest rap stars to come of out of Compton California in a very long time. How do we know this? Because Lamar had trouble finding anyone who would challenge him in a competitive nature. Hands down, he was topping them all. So when he started releasing mix tapes, it was just a matter of time before a label would show interest.  KDE records signed the young star, who at the time was going under the name "K-Dot." Lamar spent six years using that name, but it all changed when he came out with "Overly Dedicated."  While opening for Tech N9ne, Lamar started to let loose with tracks from the mixtape titled "Overly Dedicated." A few songs from that release cracked the Billboard top 100 for R&B and Hip-Hop.   "Section 80" was soon to follow, and that effort was subject to positive reviews.

Lamar has since released a full album, titled "good kid, m.A.A.d city" and just this week, his 2015 effort, titled "To Pimp a Butterfly" came out on iTunes. Check all tour dates for Lamar, and see you at Summerfest!

Kings of Leon Play Summerfest 2015 on June 25 | KOL Tour Dates

Summerfest fans will be lining up for Kings of Leon tickets this Friday. The Nashville based band will be headlining at the Marcus Amphitheater on June 25, 2015. This show is one of just a very few dates set so far. Will the band put together an entire tour for the summer months? At the time of this posting, we just don't know.

Kings of Leon is a very close knit band, made up of two brothers and cousins. Their biggest hit to date is a song titled "Use Somebody." That song came out in 2008, and hit number one, along with another song on that same album. The band has a huge following in Great Britain, Australia, and the United States. Nearing the end of their Mechanical Bull tour this past summer Nathan Followill injured his ribcage in a bus accident.  The band had to cancel more than a handful of dates. When checking the band's website, that's the very last news item one will find.

The band also has two dates set for this month, performing in Chile and Columbia on March 13 and 15th. Check back for more tour dates as we get closer to the Summerfest show.
