Love him or hate him Toby Keith plays Summerfest 2011. He will be performing at the Marcus Amphitheater on July 1, with Eric Church. This is probably the earliest concert announcement for a Summerfest date ever. Toby Keith Summerfest tickets go on sale in late January.
Toby Keith Loves the USA
If Summerfest were open on July 4th, Toby Keith would be a perfect fit for that day. I don't know of any other country music star that has wrapped himself tighter around the flag than Mr. Keith. His new CD titled Bullets In The Gun is a continuation of his love for all things American. He sings about guns, trailers, driving, and kicking people out of his car. If that's not a bunch of All American country, stick to the ribs, meat and potatoes topics, then I don't know jack about that style of music.
He spent the 1990's searching for a niche, and the tragedy of 9/11 was Toby Keith's payday. Some would say that Toby Keith made his millions off of the worst terrorist attack on American soil. It's hard to deny that fact. Toby Keith was just one of those guys who found a way to turn sadness into gold.
