Neil Young Plays Summerfest July 5 2015 with Promise of the Real

Neil-Young-Summerfest-2015
Neil Young will kick off his summer tour at Summerfest 2015, on July 5. He’s teamed up with Promise of the Real, a much younger group of musicians headed up by Lukas and Micah Nelson (Willie Nelson’s children.) Tickets for the show are available after May 1. Young fans should prepare themselves for a lot of new music on this tour, as Neil isn’t one to rely upon his well worn hit songs to entertain the masses. His new album is titled The Monsanto Years, and one can guess that it’s not a tribute to the chemical company and their practices.

Judging by the song titles on the new album, he’s not just digging on Monsanto. “Rock Starbucks and Too Big to Fail” are just two examples of his current thoughts. Yes, Neil Young came into being during the free-wheeling 1960’s, but he’s never been one to allow himself to be pegged.  The album title “Rust Never Sleeps” was coined during a collaborative effort with the new wave band DEVO. Later in his career, Young took a page from the “Alternative” music scene when he released Keep on Rockin’ in the Free World. There have been times when his fans have walked out of his concerts, seemingly offended by what Neil had to say about one thing or another.  Young was a founding member of Benefit for Farm Aid, and Bridge School.  He’s always fought for the sake of the earth, the land, and children with disabilities.

Neil Young found success first with Buffalo Springfield, then as part of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. One must not forget his solo work. He took a long break between the years 2003, and 2012, but came roaring back with the album “Americana.” That disk covered reworked versions of famous American folk songs like “Oh Suzanna.”  Neil turns 70 this year, and his 2015 tour is comprised of just twelve shows.

Ed Sheeran Summerfest 2015 Show

Ed Sheeran tickets
Ed Sheeran will be performing at Summerfest 2015 on July 3. Some may think that he's just a couple of years into the music business, but Sheeran has been working his craft for nearly nine years. We must note that he has released a number of EP's, prior to signing with Atlantic. What put Ed Sheeran over the top was a chance encounter with Jamie Foxx. As always Ed Sheeran Summerfest tickets come with admission to the entire festival grounds.

Sheeran became a multi platinum selling star shortly after he released the album titled "+". He is the recipient of the Brit Award for "Best British Male Solo Artist" and also won another "Brit" for breakthrough act. In 2014, Sheeran released his second full album. It's titled "X" meaning "multiply." As his first album made him a household name in England, he had the backing of a high profile producer for this second effort.

Keith Urban Tickets for Summerfest 2015 Show

Keith Urban Summerfest 2015
Keith Urban is coming to Summerfest 2015! June 26, is the show date, and he's bringing two support acts. Phillip Philips and Dan & Shay will open for Urban. This tour is support of his 2013 album titled "Fuse." Other things that continue to keep him busy is his line of guitars, and the show American Idol. Urban is also married to Nicole Kidman.

Keith Urban was born in New Zealand, but made his way to the seat of country music in America. He called Nashville home for a few years, while crafting his music into an appealing version of country. Don't be fooled, Urban likes to mix it up a bit, and he isn't afraid to add a bit of rock influences to his albums.

Since 2002, Keith Urban has made six albums.  Starting with "Golden Road" which hit number two on the "Hot Country" album charts.  "Be Here" came out in 2004, and three songs on that disk hit the top spot on the country charts. Two years after that, he released "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing." Once again his efforts earned him accolades, but he failed to bring about a number one hit song.  He nearly won a Grammy for his next album, titled "Defying Gravity," only to be beaten out by a very young Taylor Swift.

Florida Georgia Line To Perform at Summerfest 2015 on June 24

The "Bro Country" balladeers of Florida Georgia Line will hit the Marcus Amphitheater stage at Summerfest 2015 on June 24. This is the first of many Summerfest concert announcements. Riding that rocket of popularity, after their song "Cruise" hit the top of the charts, the band hopes to fill the venue to the rafters. Opening for the group will be Thomas Rhett, and Frankie Ballard.  Tickets to the event are available after 11/6/14.

Florida Georgia Line penned just six songs before getting picked up by Big Mountain Music. The group released a five song EP on Big Mountain, and that's where people found the song Cruise. The pair met during college, and hit it off right off the bat. Four years back the band used the talents of Wesley Walker to get the ball rolling.

Republic Nashville decided to take a shot on the guys, and released "Here's To Good Times." That was just two short years ago. "Cruise" has hit number one, and also been remixed by none other than Nelly. For six months, the song got tons of airplay. The accompanying video features all the right things for fans of "Bro Country." It makes reference to trucks, water, booze, and women. It seems that the formula for that type of music isn't hard to follow. All they want is for you to have a good time. It's working for Florida Georgia Line.
